Overview
一词千金 (YiCiQianJin, “the App”) is an English vocabulary learning app for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information.
The App operates entirely on your local device. No analytics or tracking SDKs are used. No user accounts or registration are required. No advertising frameworks are included.
Local Data
The App stores the following data locally on your device using UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device:
- Study Records — date, word learned, meaning, word book, and pass/fail status
- Quiz Results — word, correct/incorrect answer, and date
- Preferences — selected word book, current word index
- Progress — daily study and quiz completion status, check-in calendar data
- Pro Status — whether the user has purchased Pro membership
Word Data
All vocabulary data (covering elementary, middle school, high school, CET-4, CET-6, graduate entrance exam, IELTS, and TOEFL) is bundled within the App. No network requests are made to fetch word content.
Network Requests
The App makes no network requests except for the following:
- StoreKit — Apple’s StoreKit framework handles in-app purchase verification for Pro membership. This is managed entirely by Apple and subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
In-App Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not collect, store, or have access to any payment information. Purchase records are managed by Apple’s StoreKit framework.
Third-Party Services
The App does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Data Sharing
We do not share any data with third parties. All data remains on your device.
Data Retention
All study records and preferences are stored locally in UserDefaults. This data can be removed by uninstalling the App.
Children’s Privacy
The App does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
