Overview
Sayble (“the App”) is an iOS voice keyboard that turns spoken input into clean, ready-to-send text. It removes filler words, repetition, and self-corrections, adds punctuation, and can rewrite or compose text on request.
This privacy policy explains what the App processes, what leaves your device, and how to contact us.
Information You Provide
The App processes the following, only when you use the corresponding feature:
- Dictated text. Text produced by dictation, so it can be cleaned up.
- Selected text. When you ask the App to rewrite text, the text in the field.
- Spoken instructions. For example “make this shorter” or “translate to English”.
- Personal dictionary terms. Names and specialist vocabulary you add yourself.
- Snippets. Reusable text you save yourself, such as an address or signature.
The App has no account system. You do not register, sign in, or provide an email address to use it.
Microphone and Speech Recognition
There are two separate paths, and they behave differently:
- In the keyboard, dictation is handled by Apple’s built-in iOS dictation. The Sayble keyboard does not request microphone access and does not record audio. It reads the text that iOS dictation inserts, then cleans it up.
- In the main app, the microphone and Speech Recognition are used for the in-app dictation area. iOS asks for your permission first, and recognition is performed through Apple’s Speech framework.
The App does not use a background audio mode and does not hold the microphone while idle.
Audio Recordings
The App does not store or transmit audio recordings. Only text is processed.
What Leaves Your Device
To clean up, rewrite, or compose text, the App sends the following to the Sayble refinement service over HTTPS:
- The text to process
- The refinement mode you selected (verbatim, smart, or polished)
- The recognition language
- Your personal dictionary terms, used as recognition hints to improve names and specialist vocabulary
- Your spoken instruction, when you ask for a rewrite
The service uses this only to return the processed text to the App. It does not write your text to disk, and error logs record a request identifier, endpoint, duration, and error code — not your text.
App Integrity and Authentication
Production versions use Apple’s App Attest service to confirm that requests come from a genuine instance of Sayble. During this process:
- Apple provides an attestation for a device-generated cryptographic key
- The Sayble service stores the key identifier, public key, App bundle identifier, attestation environment, and a signature counter
- The private key remains protected by Apple on your device and is never sent to us
- The service issues a short-lived access token and an installation-specific rotating refresh token so the App and keyboard can use AI features without requiring you to periodically reopen the main App
This information is used only for App security, fraud prevention, replay prevention, rate limiting, and controlling access to the refinement service. It is not used for advertising or tracking across apps or websites. App Attest records are not associated with an account because Sayble has no account system.
Third-Party Processing
Text sent for refinement is processed by DeepSeek (api.deepseek.com) to generate the result. Your use of this feature is therefore also subject to DeepSeek’s own privacy policy and terms.
When you ask a question that needs current information, the App may query these services for that answer:
- Open-Meteo — weather forecasts, geocoding, and air quality
- ER-API — currency exchange rates
Only the query needed for the answer is sent. These lookups happen only when your request requires current data.
Local Storage
The following stay on your device, in a shared App Group container used by the App and its keyboard:
- Dictation history, including the original transcript and the final result
- Your personal dictionary
- Your snippets
- Preferences, such as refinement mode and recognition language
History can be deleted individually or cleared entirely from within the App. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.
Full Access
The Sayble keyboard asks for “Allow Full Access” because iOS requires it for two things:
- Reaching the refinement service over the network
- Sharing data with the main app through the App Group, so your snippets and dictionary are available in the keyboard
Password fields continue to use Apple’s secure keyboard, and iOS does not allow any third-party keyboard to appear there.
Analytics, Ads, and Tracking
The App contains no advertising SDKs, no third-party analytics, and no tracking SDKs. It does not build an advertising profile and does not track you across other apps or websites.
In-App Purchases
The App currently has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information. Data is processed only by:
- The Sayble refinement service, when you use a refinement, rewrite, or compose feature
- DeepSeek, as the model provider behind that service
- Open-Meteo and ER-API, when your request needs current weather, air quality, or exchange rate data
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Choices
You can:
- Use the App without creating an account
- Choose verbatim mode, which keeps your wording and only fixes punctuation
- Delete individual history entries, or clear all history
- Remove any personal dictionary term or snippet at any time
- Decline Full Access, though cloud refinement and shared snippets will then be unavailable
- Remove all local data by deleting the App
