1. Scope

This policy describes the privacy practices of Calio: Scientific Calculator (“Calio” or “the App”), an offline mathematics, physics and chemistry calculator for iPhone and iPad, provided by Shanjie Han. It covers the current App and explains the separate handling of support messages and visits to this website.

2. Information handled by the App

Calio does not collect or transmit your personal information, calculation inputs or calculation history to the developer or to an App backend. Calculations run on your device. The App does not require an account and does not include advertising, tracking, third-party analytics SDKs or developer-operated server connections.

The App stores the following information locally to provide its features:

  • Calculation history: up to 200 completed records, including expressions, results, dates, angle modes and, where applicable, saved physics parameters, chemical formulas, solution or dilution inputs, equation coefficients, and graph expressions and viewing ranges. History is stored in a file in the App’s private storage.
  • Preferences: your appearance and language choices, stored in the App’s local preferences.
  • Temporary working state: current inputs, tool drafts, answers and calculator memory used during a running session. Calculator memory is not saved across App restarts. Unfinished drafts are not automatically saved for restoration after a restart.

Local storage for these features is not information collected by the developer. We do not receive these records merely because you use the App.

3. Clipboard and device permissions

Copying a result is initiated by you. Pasting uses the system’s text-editing controls at your request; Calio does not read the clipboard in the background.

The current App does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photo library, and it does not use advertising identifiers or track you across other apps or websites.

4. Apple services, backups and sharing

Calio does not implement its own cloud synchronization. Depending on your device settings, Apple device backups may include local App data. App Store services and any operating-system diagnostics you choose to share are handled under Apple’s settings and policies, not by an in-App analytics SDK.

If you copy a result into another app, share a screenshot, or restore a device backup, information may leave the device through that action. This policy’s statement about local calculation does not mean that backups or user-initiated sharing can never contain App data.

5. Support messages

If you email hantmac@outlook.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, such as a message, calculation example or screenshot. We use that information to answer your request, investigate a reported issue and communicate with you about it. Email is processed by the email providers used to send and receive the message.

Please do not send passwords, payment details, confidential research data or other sensitive information. Use a non-sensitive example whenever possible. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle the request and any applicable legal obligations. You may contact us to request deletion of correspondence, subject to those obligations and the email providers’ handling of their own copies.

6. Retention and your choices

The local history contains up to 200 records; as new records are added beyond that limit, older records are removed from the saved history. Preferences remain in local App storage until changed or the App’s data is removed.

To remove the App’s local history and preferences, use Delete App, not Offload App, in your device’s storage settings. Deleting the App normally removes its local data but does not necessarily remove copies in device backups. Manage backups separately using Apple’s backup and storage settings. Reinstalling may restore data if you restore a backup.

We cannot inspect, export or delete local calculation records on your behalf because the App does not send them to us. Privacy or support-email requests can be sent to the contact address below.

7. Children’s privacy

The App does not automatically collect personal information from users of any age. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through support correspondence. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can address the request.

8. This website

These public policy and support pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. Visiting a website is separate from using Calio offline. The hosting provider may process technical request information such as IP addresses under GitHub’s Privacy Statement.

This blog’s theme also loads a Busuanzi visitor-count script and external assets. When your browser requests those resources, the relevant providers may receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser information. These website services are not included in the iOS App and do not receive your local calculation history from the App. These pages do not contain an account-registration or support-submission form; contacting us by email is optional.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the App’s features or privacy practices change. Updates will be published on this page with a revised date. Any future change involving data collection will need to be reflected in this policy and the relevant App Store disclosures.

这些本地数据用于提供功能，不等于开发者收集信息。你使用本应用本身不会使我们收到这些记录。

3. 剪贴板与设备权限

复制结果由你主动发起；粘贴由你通过系统文本编辑控件操作。本应用不会在后台读取剪贴板。

当前应用不请求访问定位、联系人、相机、麦克风或照片图库，不使用广告标识符，也不跨应用或网站追踪你。

4. Apple 服务、备份与分享

Calio 没有自行实现云同步。根据设备设置，Apple 的设备备份可能包含应用本地数据。App Store 服务以及你选择共享的操作系统诊断信息，遵循 Apple 的设置和政策，而非通过应用内分析 SDK 处理。

如果你把结果复制到其他应用、分享截图或恢复设备备份，相关信息可能通过这些操作离开设备。“本地计算”并不意味着备份或你主动分享的内容永远不包含应用数据。

5. 支持邮件

当你向 hantmac@outlook.com 发送邮件时，我们会收到你的邮箱地址，以及你主动提供的文字、计算示例或截图。我们使用这些信息回复请求、排查问题，并就该问题与你沟通。邮件由发送和接收邮件所使用的服务商处理。

请勿发送密码、支付信息、保密研究数据或其他敏感内容，尽量使用不涉及敏感信息的示例。支持邮件仅在处理请求及履行适用法律义务所需期间保留。你可以联系我们请求删除相关邮件，但适用法律义务及邮件服务商自行处理的副本可能影响删除范围。

6. 保存期限与你的选择

本地历史最多保存 200 条记录；超出上限时，新增记录会使较旧记录从已保存历史中移除。偏好设置保存在应用本地存储中，直到你修改设置或移除应用数据。

如需移除本机计算记录和偏好，请在设备存储设置中选择 “删除 App”，而不是 “卸载 App”（保留数据的 Offload App）。删除应用通常会移除本机应用数据，但不一定移除设备备份中的副本。请通过 Apple 的备份和存储设置单独管理备份；如果恢复备份，相关数据可能重新出现。

由于本应用不会将本地计算记录发送给我们，我们无法代你查看、导出或删除这些记录。有关隐私或支持邮件的请求，请使用下方联系方式。

7. 儿童隐私

本应用不会自动收集任何年龄用户的个人信息。我们不会通过支持邮件明知地向儿童索取个人信息。如果你认为儿童向我们发送了个人信息，请联系我们处理。

8. 本网站

本隐私政策和支持页面托管于 GitHub Pages。访问网站与离线使用 Calio 是不同的行为。托管服务商可能根据 GitHub 隐私声明 处理 IP 地址等技术请求信息。
