Overview

AnyFile (“the App”) is a batch file operations utility for macOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information.

The App operates entirely on your local device. No data is transmitted to external servers, and no analytics or tracking SDKs are used.

Local Data

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Operation History: The App stores a local history of recent operations (rename, copy, move, duplicate scan) in UserDefaults. This is used to display recent activity in the menu bar. Maximum 50 records are kept.
  • Recent Destinations: The App stores up to 10 recently used destination folders for the Batch Move feature.
  • Preferences: User preferences (such as window position and onboarding state) are stored in local UserDefaults.

In-App Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not collect, store, or have access to any payment information. Purchase records are managed by Apple’s StoreKit framework.

Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party services, SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising frameworks.

File System Access

The App requires file system access to perform batch operations on user-selected files. The App:

  • Only accesses files explicitly selected by the user
  • Performs rename, copy, move, and duplicate detection operations as directed by the user
  • Does NOT access files without user action
  • Does NOT transmit any file information over the network
  • Uses security-scoped resources for file access

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. All data remains on your device.

Data Retention

All locally stored data can be removed by uninstalling the App. macOS will automatically clean up the App’s data upon uninstallation.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
