Overview
一日一偈 (“the App”) is a quiet daily sutra reading app for iOS. It presents one Buddhist scripture excerpt each day, with a short plain-language reflection, optional local doodles, widgets, and optional daily notifications.
We designed the App to work without an account, without cloud sync, without ads, and without analytics.
Information We Collect
We do not collect personal information.
The App does not create user accounts, does not require registration, does not use advertising SDKs, and does not include third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Local Data
The App may store the following data locally on your device:
- Doodles you draw inside the App
- The selected paper/background style for each day
- Whether daily notifications are enabled
- Simple App preferences needed to keep the experience consistent
This information remains on your device and is not sent to the developer or to any third party.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, the App schedules local notifications on your device, such as a daily reminder at 8:00 AM. Notification scheduling is handled by iOS locally. We do not receive your notification settings or notification history.
Widgets
The App provides Home Screen widgets that display the daily sutra excerpt. Widget content is generated from content bundled with the App. Widgets do not send personal information to us.
Network Requests
The App does not need a server to provide daily content. Daily scripture excerpts and reflections are bundled with the App.
The App does not send your doodles, preferences, notification settings, or usage behavior to any server.
Purchases and Payments
The current version of the App does not include in-app purchases. If purchases are added in the future, payment processing would be handled by Apple through the App Store.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data because the App does not collect personal data.
Data Retention and Deletion
Local App data remains on your device until you delete it through the App’s available controls or uninstall the App. Deleting the App removes locally stored App data from your device.
Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children. The App does not include social features, public profiles, ads, or tracking.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
