Privacy Policy — PulseDashX

Last updated: 2026-04-24

Overview

PulseDashX (“the App”) is a system monitoring dashboard for macOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information.

The App operates entirely on your local device. No analytics or tracking SDKs are used. No user accounts or registration are required. No advertising frameworks are included.

Local Data

The App reads the following system information locally on your device to display real-time monitoring data. This data is shown on-screen only and is never stored or transmitted:

  • CPU — processor usage, per-core statistics, running process names and CPU usage
  • Memory — memory usage, pressure level, running process names and memory usage
  • Disk — disk capacity, available space, Trash size
  • Network — connection type, upload/download speed, latency, local IP address
  • GPU — GPU model name, video memory information
  • Battery — charge level, health, cycle count, charging status
  • Bluetooth — connected device names and battery levels

Network Requests

The App makes the following limited network requests:

  • Public IP Address — a request is sent to third-party IP lookup services (e.g., ipify.org, ifconfig.me) solely to display your public IP address. No other data is transmitted.
  • Network Latency — a small request is used to measure network response time.
  • StoreKit — Apple’s StoreKit framework handles subscription verification. This is managed entirely by Apple and subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.

System API Access

As declared in our App Privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy):

  • Disk Space API — used to display available storage (reason: E174.1)
  • System Boot Time API — used for system uptime calculation (reason: 35F9.1)

Permissions

The App may request the following macOS permissions:

  • Bluetooth — to display connected Bluetooth device information and battery levels
  • Automation (Finder) — to perform quick actions such as emptying Trash and ejecting disks
  • Network (Outgoing) — to fetch public IP address and measure network latency

In-App Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not collect, store, or have access to any payment information. Purchase records are managed by Apple’s StoreKit framework.

Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third-party interaction is with IP lookup APIs as described above.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. All data remains on your device.

Data Retention

The App does not persist any monitoring data. All displayed metrics are real-time and discarded when the App is closed. User preferences (such as hotkey settings) are stored in local UserDefaults and can be removed by uninstalling the App.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
